关于 Nusa Tenggara Timur
East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur, NTT) is the southeastern island province of Indonesia, stretching from Flores and the Komodo islands in the west to Sumba, Timor, Alor and Rote. Most travellers start in Labuan Bajo on the western tip of Flores, the harbour town for boat trips into Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the only place on earth where Komodo dragons live in the wild.
Beyond the park, NTT rewards slow travel: the three coloured crater lakes of Kelimutu, the cone-shaped houses of Wae Rebo village in the Manggarai highlands, the savanna and megalithic villages of Sumba, and hand-woven ikat textiles found across almost every island.
如何前往
Labuan Bajo (Komodo Airport, LBJ) is the easiest entry point, with direct domestic flights from Bali (Denpasar) and Jakarta. From the harbour, phinisi boats, speedboats and liveaboards sail into Komodo National Park.
- Flores overland: the Trans-Flores road links Labuan Bajo, Ruteng, Bajawa, Ende and Maumere; Kelimutu is reached from the village of Moni.
- Sumba: Tambolaka (TMC) serves West Sumba and Waingapu (WGP) serves East Sumba.
- Timor: Kupang, the provincial capital, is served by El Tari Airport (KOE) and is the base for Rote and Alor.
自然
- Komodo National Park – Komodo and Rinca islands for guided dragon treks, the viewpoint hike on Padar, and the pink-sand beach on Komodo island.
- Snorkelling and diving – reefs and manta sites around Komodo, Kanawa and the Taka Makassar sandbar.
- Kelimutu – three volcanic crater lakes near Moni whose colours shift over time; sunrise is the classic visit.
- Sumba – rolling savanna, Weekuri lagoon and waterfalls such as Waimarang and Tanggedu.
生态保护
Komodo National Park protects the Komodo dragon and some of the richest marine life in the Coral Triangle. Inside the park, dragon walks on Komodo and Rinca are led by park rangers, and visitors pay the official park entrance fees on arrival.
- Keep a safe distance from dragons and follow ranger instructions at all times.
- Do not stand on or touch coral; use reef-friendly sunscreen.
- Take your rubbish back to the boat and avoid single-use plastic.
文化
- Wae Rebo – a Manggarai village of traditional cone-shaped houses (mbaru niang) in the mountains, reached on foot; it received a UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2012.
- Bena and Bajawa – Ngada megalithic villages around Mount Inerie.
- Sumba – high-roofed clan houses at Ratenggaro and Praijing, stone tombs, and the Pasola horseback ritual held around February and March.
- Ikat weaving – each island has its own motifs and natural dyes; buying directly from weavers supports the villages.
城市漫游
Labuan Bajo is a compact harbour town with cafes, dive shops and a sunset fish market at Kampung Ujung. Viewpoints such as Bukit Sylvia and Bukit Cinta overlook the bay at golden hour. Kupang on Timor is the provincial capital and the gateway to Rote, Alor and Semau.
美食与手信
- Se’i – Kupang-style smoked meat, usually pork or beef, served with sambal.
- Grilled fish – fresh catch at the Kampung Ujung night market in Labuan Bajo.
- Flores coffee – arabica from Bajawa and Manggarai, a popular souvenir.
- Jagung bose – a corn and bean stew from Timor.
- Tenun ikat – hand-woven textiles, the most meaningful souvenir from NTT.
住宿推荐
- Labuan Bajo – hotels and resorts from the harbour to the hillsides; the best base for day trips into the park.
- On a phinisi – open-trip or private liveaboard cabins let you wake up inside Komodo National Park for sunrise at Padar.
- Moni and Bajawa – simple guesthouses for Kelimutu and the Ngada villages on a Flores overland trip.
- Sumba – beach resorts and guesthouses in West and East Sumba.
小贴士与最佳时节
- Best time: the dry season, roughly April to November, has calmer seas and clearer skies; the rainy months can bring rougher crossings.
- Book boats early for July, August and holiday periods, when phinisi cabins sell out.
- Bring cash for park fees, small islands and villages; ATMs are concentrated in Labuan Bajo and the main towns.
- Pack light: reef-friendly sunscreen, a hat, sandals for wet landings and a light jacket for highland nights.
